Winners from Late Summer 2002's contest question:
What are you doing, dreaming, desiring when
you're in "full bloom"?
We
had three winners this month. Each winner got to choose a
pair of Wacky Jac undies. (See all

When I am in full bloom
I am moist and fragrant
I am inviting and impervious
I am open and concealed
Slowly revealing
Reveling in the moment.
This moment.
When I am in full bloom
I am a night-blossoming flower
Intoxicant, delicious, dangerous
Desirous, desired, Divine Bella Donna
I am cats screaming in their coupling
Cactus blooming on the hot dessert floor
Water wearing sweet crevasses into hard, unyielding rock
When I am in full bloom
I pull all of creation
In through my southern-most mouth
And out through my navel
Birthing my Self
Through a million tiny deaths
Into the ever-present Now.
When I am in full bloom
I become God
meeting Hirself
and merging
again
and again
and again

Lotus me
I dive in
when ready
I remember sweet sensuous smells and supple memories...
a kiss... the warmth...the petals always resting upon my imagination.
I desire to be the bark on a willow tree.
I rush forth with lust, lunging towards my own creativity
with full
force.
And I live.
Winning
Contest Entry
from A.J.
I dream in a background of orange-red leaves
rumbling cats curled against my back
belly and head.
My palette desires firey Tikki Masala and
my wife's sweet, sleepy
back of neck scent.
Hands yearning for lanolin-rich wool
knitting spells into every stitch -
I smile and wait for Samhain
while watching my world transform.
